Walking Yordan (0-4) to load the bases for Bregman is a mind-numbingly stupid move but hey thanks for the win Dallas

Glad we won, but not an enjoyable game.

That was a bad pitch, but it was 100% on the catcher. In that scenario he absolutely can't let that happen.

He is also swinging late, thus all the ground outs.

If the Astros only go 13-12 to finish the season, the Yankees would have to go a sizzling 19-6 to get the 1 seed.

There was absolutely no way to stop that from happening, not a damn catcher on earth that could have blocked that.

Any time we can take a series while JV is out and Alvarez is slumping it’s a great thing. It really has to be expected that it won’t be pretty. This team is showing resolve. Lots of close games lately. They are getting battle tested for the playoffs. Just need JV back and Yordan to start mashing again.

I disagree, I've seen it far too many times. He made no effort to get his body in front of it, he merely tried to pick it with his glove and.... well, that's what happens when you try that and fail.

He didn't get a good read on the ball so it took him too long to realize how much trouble he was in.

Yep, he spiked it for sure, total WP, and that's a tough-ass play for a catcher, but he did the same thing Maldy did last night (that also gave up a run).

Gotta slide the body and turn the glove under.

Offense is looking bad. Surely a less than 100% Yordan can't be trusted to do everything for us.

Play Y. Diaz, Hensley, Vasquez, Mancini. Stop playing Maldonado, Yuli, Dubon if you wanna wake up the offense.

It's a situation where they are good enough that they think they can get away with it....and usually they can, but in that specific situation, you just can't take the chance.

Wasn’t vasquez and Mancini in the lineup? 2 rookies with a handful of at bats are the key to the offense? Really?

Might want to tell your guy to regularly start the player with an MLB top-10 OPS against LHP (min 100 PAs, he has 99 but whatever, that line should have been crossed tonight) against LHP.

I'm sure he reads all of your memos and fan mail, so make it happen. We're all counting on you.

Finally got the power back on. Locally heavy Thunderstorm with Hail wiped out last night's game for me. I wouldn't have made it past the second inning anyway. Glad they pulled out another stinker.

I'm trying to figure out if Baker's most perplexing move is playing Yuli as much as he does or not playing Chas every freaking game against left handers until his production falls off.

Trying to figure out ()usty is a tall order. I suggest ignoring this years production and looking into prior years.
Ponce Dustion is still looking for the Fountain of Youth.
