If it didn’t mean starting his clock too early I would take the potential of Leon over Dubon every minute of the playoffs. I want chas in CF but if dusty is against that then Leon over Dubon. Hensley and A.Diaz can play the infield subs if needed

I thought the clock didn't run at all in September and the playoffs.I thought that was why September was the MLB trial for prospects month.

Half right. Only time in the regular season counts, but not playoffs. So players added in September only need to stay below the 22% Super 2 threshold.

Isn't Meyers the most likely option if they want a dedicated PR type? He can still run good, can't he?

I suppose it depends on whether he's recovered from his foot injury. I "think" he got a foot injury about the same time McCormick had the Hand Injury. But I could easily be wrong. Anyway, I remember a sudden shortage of healthy outfielders. Might have been A Diaz.

They currently have 14 position players. Assuming everyone is healthy, they will subtract Y Diaz and replace JJ with A Diaz.

    Last 6 games
    37.1 K%
    10.3 B%
    3.45 ERA
    3.82 FIP

Not really sure what to make of him. When he's on, he's dominant. When not, he's a dumpster fire.

Yep, hard to say. But at this point it look like he will have some major league value even if it’s just as an enigmatic AAAA RP.

I think this is to make room on the Hooks roster to bring back a couple of injured starters and I expect Tamarez to be in the AAA pen next season.

Misael Tamarez is only 22 years old
Pitching Coaches helping him and a Solid Year will help his Growth

102 innings, 122 Strikeouts is Solid

I think Pitching Control is needed, 4.32 era

I'm afraid he got hurt again. Unfortunately, it looks like he's developing a reputation of being injury-prone.

Carlos Calderon turned in a strong relief outing in what may possibly be his final appearance of 2022: 3 IP, BB, 5 K

Calderon finishes the year 4-6 with a 4.25 ERA in 25 appearances (13 starts, 101.2 IP). He allowed 86 hits (9 HR), 57 runs (48 earned), walked 58, and struck out 110. Opponents hit .226 against him this season. His starter/reliever splits were pretty even, so he'll likely continue on as a starter in Asheville in 2023.

Takeaways from the first 6 innings of the RR-Sugarland game I was at today:

Dubin definitely has a very good chance to be an elite elite RP. He dominated those AAA hitters and I’m confident if limited to 2 innings he could sit 97-98 with his FB.

Every time I have seen France pitch his stuff looks very pedestrian but then I look up and he has a line like tonight (4ip,0er,4k,1bb).

Leon definitely has at least 60 grade speed.

Lee’s swing decisions tonight were awful.

Julks, Meyers, Lee, and Leon all look like they could play in the NFL. Dudes are yoked.
