Isn’t this the same injury that the Texans Derek Stingley is coming back from?

Wemby is definitely scrawny and lanky but IMO his frame looks better than Chet's

See Sam Bowie et al for history of foot injuries in the big guys...

Seems like he was likely going to get injured in an NBA game at some point anyways, but yeah, sucks to get injured in a pick up game.

He's already guaranteed 20 million dollars, so basketball has already worked out for him.

This is pretty much a worst case scenario for him, or for anybody in a sport that requires quick burst.

All of Bowies, and virtually all big men, we're bone related, or knee issues, not ligament issues.

Now we know it's a lisfranc injury which is pretty much exactly the type of injury you would fear from a tall player, and pretty much worst case scenario.

It's truly sad the number of people who predicted this injury. Maybe not the foot, but a broken bone or something.

This has nothing to do with playing in the pro-am. It would have eventually happened at practice, the Olympics, anywhere. I hope he still gets his money.

a rupture is way worse than just fracturing.

Bone fracture heals much faster than tendon rupture where there is limited supply in blood

Playing in a Pro-Am was incredibly stupid.

I am no medical expert. Fracture is for bones and rupture is for tendons, right?

Good that you did not enter a specific year.

He is going to have tons of offseason.
