They may as well send Matijevic back down to AAA. Dude has been on the roster for 15 days now and has 2 starts (he homered in both). The guys he should be subbing (Brantley,Yordan) for have sat 3 straight days now, and he's started none of them. At least Siri can pinch run and be a defensive replacement.

I'm not even some big believer in him, but we aren't even giving him a chance to show he can be an impactful bat, which is all he's good for. I get the feeling this is more Dusty BS (you can make me have him, but can't force me to play him)

Carrasco is right. That check swing call completely prevented the Mets from scoring against Valdez...

Neither broadcast showed it from another angle, but Keith Hernandez immediately said it was the right call. Pena first pitch swinging and then going to a review didn't give much chance to talk about the check swing.

I believe that is the logic even if it's illogical. You are now potentially wasting Yuli or Tucker being on base. It would make more sense if Meyers was like Straw and lacked power or got on base with walks. However, Meyers is more of a power hitter so he should be put in position to drive some runs home.

Because Maldy can't play every game.

He seems to have settled into JV's personal catcher recently. The outing where JV got roughed up vs the ChiSox is the only recent one I remember Maldy catching him.

This is why Dusty is so loved by players. All of Houston Stros fans want Castro gone, All of Castro's mind is thanking Dusty. Hoping Castro make Dusty look good with him batting 8th.

Meyers tracks fly-balls very well. Good instincts

Speed in the outfield and on the bases

It tells me a little something about how they feel about him in LF.

Not on the leadoff hitter, his crap route played a single into a double.

Hey, that's a perfectly defensible lineup decision. Castro is 1-14 with 9 Ks against Walker, so Dusty knows he's due for a hit.

These last few games have been tough for me.

One of my little pups blew out his knee so gotta be there for him. Me and his mom take turns though.

Glad to see JV on the mound. I think yesterday was the first game where I could relax a bit and follow the game.

    Cheers fellas!
