That release and shot really worries me with his game. It's completely busted and it will take time to fix. He gives me Corey Brewer vibes on offense for some reason. That said he's worth the project with that defensive ability.
As always, thanks for the intel. But i’d be pretty disappointed. He’s a 6’5” shooting guard. Really? Cause we don’t have any of those.
Thats why I mentioned before that I would reverse the nba trend of small ball. I mean what killed Phoenix this year defensively is that they 2 guards and 2 small forwards. When they bring players off the bench like Johnson, he's another small forward. Dallas Mavs are the same way as is most teams. The Rockets can draft Banchero and he plays the 3, Sengun the 4, and a true center at 5. They could outsize and out physical alot of those teams. Thats pretty much what Milwaukee does even when they go to their bench, they bring in 6'10 Bobby Portis to pair with 6'11 Giannis and 6'8 Middleton. Hell, Jrue is like 6'4 ish. You can still be big and win in this league vs trying go small and duplicate GSW.
Not drafting Jovic because he is a "poor defender" at 18 years old would be just dumb. He's a kid. Coachable. Moldable. With all the tools. And already elite offensive skills. SMH
ch44, as always appreciate the intel. How about Jalen Williams? I really like his game/size to play some SF for us.
Would instantly replace Eric Gordon as our SMOTY candidate for years to come. Dudes a bucket. Defense lacking though and i'm not comfortable with the defensive direction of our team with our top 4 being Green, Banchero, Sengun and KPj.
If we wind up with three picks out of this draft I will be surprised and disappointed. Nine players 21/22 and younger is too many. I hope we swing a trade with picks/players to consolidate and wind up with two really highend prospects. I’m more than fine if that means Banchero and Eason and swapping #26 for a future pick. Even better if its Banchero + a top 10 pick. I just think it’s going overboard to take 7 1st round players in two years.
Thanks, ch44. But man. Another disappointing name to hear for us at #17, in addition to TyTy from the other day. This roster needs young 3+D wings badly.
Need to be big AND be switchable on defense. All those examples you cited all play switch 1-5 defense at elite or near elite levels. Bucks also had 6'5 PJ Tucker the ultimate switch 1-5 guy the season they won it all.
no doubt he’s a good offensive player. But he’s a 2-guard, and I’m really hoping for a wing with some size…and some defense.
