He's honestly a great pickup from a locker room/veteran perspective. By all accounts he is a terrific teammate.
Great European 22yo talent we are adding here. When we though Stone was done adding prospects to the team.
Boban (19/20): (w/Silas) PnR (Roll Man): 19.0% freq.....1.23 ppp.....72.0 NBA percentile Post Ups: 32.1% freq........ 0.96 ppp.......61.8 NBA percentile Sengun Post Ups (21/22): 20.8% freq...0.93...50.9 NBA percentile ___________________ Silas may want to rekindle the Boban stuff, but the game might be faster than it was in 19/20. Mavs didn't post up Boban much under Jason Kidd as coach last year. Guessing Bruno Fernando won't be back....let's see if any of these Mavs players get waived. I was telling @saleem that Silas may try to bring in former players like WCS, Dwight Powell, Kleber from his old regime.....was not thinking Boban, though. Run some 2-3 zone (defense) with Boban camped under the rim. Probably unplayable otherwise, 57% 3P DFG% in 21/22
Happy to have this guy on the team. There are a few quick wins GM can score and this is one of them. Hollywood legend, All time great locker room guy. Fan favorite in each city he played in and to add something else, analytics darling. Welcome to the Rockets Boban.
Dude is probably the most likable guy in the league. They should keep him for the entertainment value if nothing else.
To answer your question from yesterday because I feel it was complicated. The Rockets can go in many directions with pick #3 and #17 (and now #26) while adding pieces by way of next year's draft (2023) to fill in gaps. Never know if a front office big wig likes a certain player in next year's draft. Neither you nor I could understand buying the Vincent Edwards pick? And I said he would be nothing more than a G-league guy. Not sure he has been more than that? You and I wanted a pick later in this draft.....now will they use it as a pick or try to move up?
