you could trade both for 2 picks next season. consolidate that into two top 10 picks. keep one and trade the other and the Nets picks for someone I would imagine to be pretty good. Sign another max FA. Instant contender lol

PG Dejonte Murray (Traded for Max 2023 FA)
    SG Green
    SF Wiggins (Max 2023 FA)
    PF Paolo
    C Sengun

    2023 top 10 pick
    Christopher
    Garuba
    Nix
    Kmart

Would you take an expiring Christian Wood...

or Walker Kessler on a 4-year rookie deal going forward?

You do realize that Hasheem the Dream was Ben Wallace on Offense right?

And not that good defensively either.

we traded a 1st with capela to begin with so thats a wash

And dont just call it "a 1st". That sounds a lot better than what it is. Its the 26th pick

Potentially, really depends on how draft falls, but he's more athletic than teams thought and a solid two way player with team first attitude and the pedigree of a champion. A nice blend of attributes to add after the lottery.

Oh sorry. Let's call it a 2nd rounder? Even though it is actualy a first...
Bill Worrell might get overly excited and tell us whomever we draft is a number 1 pick... buuuut

We got an asset out of a MLE signing, right?

why are you so offended that we sold low on christian wood? Try looking at any unbiased site and see how the consensus on this deal

The 26th pick is closer to a 2nd rounder than an actual lottery pick. No one cares

Al P makes Wood look small.

I didn't read all 30 pages so if someone posted this my bad.

I think this trade should squash any idea about Ivey being our pick. Not that he was likely regardless but this should seal that deal.

Unquestionably. The micro-ball fans that were hoping for a team full of nothing but guards are likely in mourning right about now.

A Wood trade was the last place I expected a mini run in.

Al P getting right in Wood's face to tell him about the block makes me think he didn't like him that much.

    Big F you vibes there

The accumulating of cap space may be because the owner is cheap. But it could be to have room to sign a free agent that can complement Green as he enters his third season and the Rockets are in a position to start competing again.

I've been skeptical of Fertitta and the front office in the past. But in the past year, they've done enough that I'm reserving judgement for now.

Trading wood will be a footnote in grand scheme of things. If you can get guys like Christopher, Garuba and the 17th pick to play well with Green, Banchero(if that’s who we end up with)and Sengun then you got yourself a stablished core group, then you can start filling out the roster. For the Rockets it all depends on the young guys development not on what we got in a trade for wood.
