is this in responds of him saying "philly" was his 1st pick but rockets just traded him to the nets? If the rockets really did trade him against his will to the nets why does he still keep up with the organization? he keeps up with KPJ, He liked the IG post of when the rockets drafted Jalen Green... so I would have to believe the rockets did trade him to his top team and it just didn't work out because of injuries and Kyrie not taking the shot. @Nook am i wrong on this?
When Harden initially asked for a trade, he wanted to go to Philadelphia and then by the time the trade was made, he wanted to go to the Nets. At least that is what I remember. Having said that, Harden is not above lying.... but also look at how Harden couched his response and the time period.
Why do you punk asses who say "weak minded" lmao when you GUYS DONT WATCH ROCKETS GAMES loool. Im not gatekeeping, people can spend their time how they want but damn, yall are calling people "soft" and "weak minded" when cant even be bothered to watch games is funny as hell.
I was being largely facetious. I don’t blame Morey for leaving, but I also don’t think it’s completely wrong that he’s lost his touch a bit. Seems like he’s gotten obsessed with certain fits in a system
I don't blame the owner for not wanting to deal with Morey either. We all know both are full of themselves, but Morey was really overrated I'm his time here.
The funny part is how much Morey preaches the 3, yet never went out and got a real 3 point specialist.
Golden state ended up being what Morey wanted the rockets to be.. Team just never had their Curry/klay type PG/SG to pair with Harden.. i also remember when Harden wanted to keep shaun livingston but Morey had to cut him because Les wanted to keep Lin for the china money. I also wish we got to see a prime Goran/lowry with Harden.
morey doesn't get criticized enough here. I think he's too full of himself and makes plenty of mistakes.
I thought his game was going to age so well because he didn't rely on elite athleticism? Remember that?
Wait I thought he left to spend time with family. I really think harden told him he was done in Houston and morey left before the ship sunk.
Did we not spend serious cash on Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson, two of the greatest bulk three-point shooters the NBA has ever seen? We also signed PJ Tucker, who led the NBA in corner threes for multiple years, If I recall correctly.
Yea I’ve always criticized the way Morey left. Even if Tilman or Harden wanted Russ he still gave in and traded cp3 & all those picks for Russ. Even when rumors came out that Russ wanted out of OKC too and he didn’t have a great year. If it had been player for player, it wouldn’t had been as bad but Morey gave a lot. He also gave his word to Cp3 and went back on it. That wasn’t the only mistake he made but it was the worst trade he made. Yup that’s how It seemed to me too Harden let his boy Morey know. Just like MDA left too and was rumored to be going to Philly before the clippers fired Doc. It seemed like they all had a plan to go to Philly. i called it when I said the Sixers were going to regret getting Harden. Maybe he still is hurt but he showed us here in Houston that when it matters he shrinks or he tends to have those games where he looks lost or uninterested.
Morey doesn't have the feel for certain players other than Harden. He also does not have the same connection as someone like Pelinka has around the league. He also does not treat role players with enough respect.
