If we get the #1 pick, I feel like we have no choice but to gamble on Chet but if we don't, we need to get Jabari Smith on this team.

Also I'm praying to the heavens that we get the #1 pick next year somehow, someway because Wembanyama is like Giannis if he was taller but came into the league with a jumpshot. He's also been playing against grown men unlike Chet and still dominating.

You know this isn’t true right?
Wemby is an elite prospect but his numbers aren’t good. He’s had a couple good games.
Chet has played against just as much international competition, including Wemby.

The rhetoric is weird, Chet is too skinny but the bigger skinnier guy isn’t.

Chet does not have an NBA body. Gonzaga projects rarely turn out well. I'd go Jabari.

That’s my exact ranking I think. I want/need/dream of watch Green/Jabari firing 3’s and building around them and Sengun. Would be hella fun to watch.

Wembanya has 40 lbs on Chet and has another year before he's draft-eligible. He's going to be very special from day one in the NBA (barring injury).

    No he doesn’t.
He’s listed at 220 and that’s being very generous.
    He’s also 7’3.

He’s skinnier than Chet, he’s as close to Shawn Bradley frame and size as it gets

    1.Holmgren
    2.Smith
    .
    .
    3.Ivey
    4.Banchero
    5.Murray

The players in top 2 and the second grouping are pretty much interchangeable to me. Wouldn't mind Banchero at 3 or Smith at 1

I'm starting to get into studying the players a little more when I have downtime. As of right now, and subject to change once I get more info on how they think and approach the game:

    1. Chet
    2. Paolo
    3. Jabari
    4. Ivey
    5. Still deciding

Paolo and Ivey are kind of wildcards, either guy could end up the ROY or best player in the draft. But Chet has the highest two-way ceiling, and I scout thinking long-term for championship value.

The late-round picks I've said earlier.

    Keegan/Eason

Eason might fit better due to defense.
(Dieng/Daniels - if we can't get those guys. Likely Dieng perhaps)

The real question is what does the front office’s big board look like. Any intel on who they like?

https://basketball.realgm.com/player/Victor-Wembanyama/Summary/136048 — just saying he’s growing and based on current numbers (not Wikipedia) he’s got about 40 pounds on Chet. He’s also a year from being draft eligible.

He doesn’t have 40 pounds on him. That is evident when you look at them.
He might have 20 pounds on him and that’s being generous.

    100% he’s not 240. He’s probably not even 220

    1 Chet
    2. Jabari
    3. Paolo
    4. Ivey
    5. Mathurin

This is based on how best they might fit in with the Rockets.

I do think Paolo is mentally tougher than Jabari, and Ivey may surpass Paolo in the near future. Paolo might be a bit better than Ivey right now.

Mathurin has more experience than Sharpe. He has more upside than Murray. If Mathurin turns out to be far less than his listed height of 6'7 than I might take a swing on Sharpe rather than Murray.
