    They obviously have chosen to skip the off day pitcher rather than shift the off day schedule. Look for the same relief appearance the day before each off day.

    He just started hitting live pitching a day or so ago. His surgery for the torn labrum was in Nov. I had that same surgery at 47 and it took a year to get full strength back. Its amazing what being 25 can do for you.

    Well, that was easy.

    Most fanbases would be over the moon with a 7 game win streak and an 18-11 start. For the Astros it just feels inevitable.

    Great homestand, great pitching getting a couple of shutouts. And 3 straight quality start by Odorizzi. Just facing bad teams or Verlander unlock something? Was there an update on Diaz? Hopefully he's OK.

    Test will be if Odorizzi relieves Valdez on May 25. After that, we reset to a five man rotation because of weekly days off.
