Can confirm. I've had to do this after food poisoning before. They couldn't get my veins in my arm so they used the back of my hand. That was neat.

And just for completeness of thread: should Katy evacuate? Please advise.

Went through 7 circles of hell after eating chicken McNuggets, and somewhere in circle 2 I ran into Lancelot who had a stick shoved up his ass. And we all laughed at him as he limped around. "There goes stick in the ass", the dead poets would say. I was immediately transported to circle 7, but came out of it. Also important to note, Guinivere has big t*tties according to Walt Whitman.

I've heard stories from a friend about how he was sick like this. At one point, he said he was sitting on the toilet spraying die-ree-yah while vomiting in the tub next to the toilet...AT THE SAME TIME! AT THE SAME TIME! I'MMA LET U FINISH BUT...!

Huh... My grandparents have been going through it. Got a diagnosis of C Diff but it's lingering and newer tests show nothing. Miserable for people in their 90's.

I got C-Diff last year. Thought I was dying. Told my wife she wasn’t allowed to divorce me if I **** in her car on the way to the ER.

This is different than C-Diff. With this bug, Vomiting is first, the diarrhea is at the end of the sickness. Think this is a Norovirus.

No need to worry about C. diff if you haven't had any recent antibiotics. No point in trying to determine what virus caused the gastroenteritis. Keep staying hydrated to the best of your abilities. Agree with Los Pollos, visit local ER for IV fluids if poor oral tolerance continues.

My friend died at like 25 this way from a bad GI bug. It still haunts me because he called me to ask if he should do anything about it and I said just stay hydrated instead of go to the hospital.
He was found dead next to the toilet the next morning.

This is not a joke post.

I can imagine if you don't stay hydrated, you can die of dehydration. The 12lb I lost in those 24 hours was mostly liquid. I almost passed out after the first 8 hours of vomiting.
