Perhaps others have noticed this, but in the PFF mock draft simulator, I just realized they list our needs as “Every Position.” They don’t say that for any other team!

Starting to lean Sauce at 3. I think he could eventually transition to safety and play great there too. Almost a 2 for 1 special.

Sauce at 3 and then a DE at 13. Trading down for another 1st next year and drafting Hamilton would also make me happy.

The Texans have holes at nearly every position. They have SIX 1st round picks the next 3 years. They should use their board and draft best player available. No reaching for anyone. If they get trade offers that are too good to pass up then do that....

I'm just as hyped as anybody about the first round of the draft and what have you…but real team building are the later rounds and I’m just excited about what Caserio does with 2 3rd round picks and 2 4th round picks as well.

Interesting, but at this point there is a lot of smoke being blown to try to sway folks. I put more stock in evaluators like Chris Simms, who played and study the game. Take a look at his Top 5 WRs, there's some sound analysis to support his rankings. I also, like that he criticized himself for not ranking others in the past because they didn't fit the big media's narrative. Look at his #3. BTW, here's a spoiler--neither OSU guy made the cut.

I’ve always liked Simms breakdowns. His QB rankings are here. They’re usually dead on

I've been following Kalon Barnes the CB from Baylor since he was a freshman in High School. He's worth a 5th round pick.

It's funny I told my son the only QB I like in this draft is Corral and then he shared that Simms had him as his #1 and spoke highly of him. Made me feel better about my own assessment. I don't think he'll make it out of the first round, but if he's setting there at our 2nd pick, I might just have to pull the trigger. More likely he gets snapped up by a team that believes in him (maybe Top 10).

I have settled on Sauce, Jermaine Johnson, McBride, Salyer and Justyn Ross as my dream, realistic, no trade picks for the Texans in the first 3 rounds.

Though I feel like Johnson might be gone by 13…if he is Karlaftis works too.
