    My Dad was a Marine & my my mom would wait out on the docks back in the 70's. Would never recommend that these days, but it, to me, is romantic. I hate that we can't have that wife as soon as you get off the airplane now, or can kiss them goodbye as the go down the thingie.

    This song always gets me, but I'd love to hear more.
