    If I were to burn movies ;) I would use a Sony DRU-540A, DVD-R's, and DVD X Copy Platinum 4.0.38. That version of the DVD X Copy still has the ripper in it and is by far the easiest software to use. It takes maybe 4 clicks and the DVD is burned. It rips and burns with no having to do anything. It is also pretty powerful if you want to rip out certain things. If I were to burn movies I would probably take out foreign language tracks and previews and other crap that takes up space that I wouldnt use those. Other than that, it is identical to the DVD. Every once in a while you will see some video degredation because of compression.

    If anyone needs a ripper version of DVD X Copy, I might know of someone that can get it to you. ;)

    I've used them all, and DVD X Copy is crap compared to DVD Shrink when it comes to compressing movies. It's easily the best app out there for this.

    Yeah, I was in Saudi and it was the same way. It's just they fit like 3 movies on each dvd.

    a Lite-On DVD +-R

    Cheap brand but very reliable.

    oops, I mean +-RW.

    -R is pretty much the standard right now for movies and game backups, but DVD+R will be a big part of Windows Longhorn once it comes out, so you want to have all of your bases covered.
