Even more disappointing than the rockets rebuild is the state of the Texans. This is caserio’s last coaching hire; you don’t get more than two. I can’t believe after all this, we are going to hire Lovie Smith. The entire process has been a joke.
This is embarrassing to the city of Houston. It’s been nearly 2 months and we don’t even hire any of our finalists. Lovie wasn’t even mentioned before tonight.
Per sources...McClain said he believed it was going to be McCown, so it definitely was never going to be McCown. I can't wait for the day when Seth Payne loses it and just smacks him in the mouth.
Embarrassing. It makes no sense to fire Culley but promote Lovie - we had the 27th ranked defense. Lovie will get a 3 year deal and McCown will be the QBs coach. Pancakes will spend the next year writing about how much everyone loves McCown as a coach, who will be promoted to OC in 2023. Either Lovie makes the playoffs in 2023 or is fired and replaced by McCown in 2024.
You need talent to win though. The Texans need studs on both sides of the ball. No matter who they hire, next year will be a serious challenge.
