Where did I say only problem? the Texans situation is no different from any franchise. Changes need to be made by any team that’s changing the coach. Texans aren’t this special team that different from anyone else… they got work to do like every team that’s not the super bowl winner come the end of the season…
Somehow the Texans have set the bar so low, that if they hire anyone not named Josh McCown I will consider it a win.
This team is in such a sht condition, disgruntled qb with sexual accusations, Positions missing all over the place, Church of Texans w/ easterbunny leading the charge. But sure all franchise opening are the same lol delusional.
Yeah, he seems like he'd be a great aging veteran to be a teammate of.... not sure about him being the boss though..Lol
Personally, I think Josh has a lot of exceptional leadership qualities that are important for a HC, but I truly believe you need experience as an assistant coach, and as a coordinator to ensure success. In the Air Force, I was fortunate to have progressive leadership positions that taught me various aspects of leading and dealing with different situations, people and environments. Those experiences prepared me for the subsequent opportunities and ensured I had a broad enough perspective to succeed. Maybe Josh is a guy that can overcome lack of those specific experiences, because he played so long and for so many different coaches. Personally, I'd love to see him as our next QB Coach, believe he could build on what Pep started with Davis.
This is going to happen. Especially since it’s been reported that they want to retain most of the coaching staff. Effing joke.
If they hire that guy, who hasn't even been an assistant I'm any coaching position period in the NFL then they really are setting the bar to a new low, and we can all thank Cal for it if it happens. After all, he got handed this team from his dad. I'd think it would be hard for a seasoned Veteran or All-Star to look up to and respect a backup QB with no NFL coaching experience as their head coach. It sure wouldn't attract free agents.
