I think it's pretty clear that KPJ is part of the Rocket's long-term plans, and Wood may or may not be, despite the inexplicable desire of this board to trade a rare commodity that the Rockets would have died to have during Harden's tenure.

great coaches are succinct and know to just say enough to the media not to get in trouble with the league. Or at least talk about interesting basketball stuff.

I mean, get an Instagram account and preach your life philosophies there, I don’t want to hear this sh-t. If you feel chatty, how about tell us about strategy, PnR, dives, cuts, defensive schemes, etc.,

John Lucas was a candidate for the HC job. Rafael Stone hired him as an assistant coach. So Lucas has a direct connection to the GM. Leadership of the team is ambiguous. The players feel it. Lucas is an old hard liner. Silas is a soft newbie. KPJ likes Silas but probably doesn't care for Lucas. So when Lucas got on him he blew up. That divisiveness on the team is not good. There are definite fault lines. Another incident is going to happen probably involving KPJ.
