I'm pretty sure Timmy Chan is responsible for whatever health problems I have developed in the intervening two decades. But hey, being able to chow down like a king for pocket change you can't argue. Look at this menu. Glorious.
To quote Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "they are doing it all wrong." Set the bar low and duck. But the scoreboard says Houston wins every time.
As much as I hope I'm wrong, I feel the Coogs are going to get worked over against Cincinnati. In order for Houston to win, no turnovers and the defense will have to play flawlessly. Houston's margin for error is much smaller than Cincy's.
You are absolutely right about the margin of error. There is none. Will they "get worked over," not so sure. As always the keys will be preparation and execution. I am hoping for a close and exciting game.
It will be nice to play a SEC like Auburn but in Birmingham that will basically be a home game for Auburn.
Houston vs Auburn is a decent match up Auburn by 21 Birmingham bowl one of the 6 to 8 worst bowls should have gone to a better bowl
Freezing ass off in a baseball stadium in Boston playing an ACC team no one cares about... Big OL no thanks to that.
Think in this case, Auburn is better game. Boston College is boring. And Boston as a city isn't some kind of wonderful prize vacation for a good season.
The odds of freezing your ass off facing a 6-6 is pretty much the same at either location. I guess Auburn is more of a name brand in this part of the world.
You're talking about a daily high temp of 38 with 14 mph winds VS a daily high of 55 with 8mph winds. Maybe to Texans that's all the same in your head, but I can assure you the latter is way more comfortable.
I am really disappointed that the Cougars are going to one of the lesser bowls against a 6-6 team. Several of the teams that UH beat in the regular season are in better bowls against better opponents like SMU. This doesn't seem right.
It's why we're leaving this conference. The winner of the AAC almost always goes to an NY6 bowl (and this time the PO!) but the dropoff to the next bowl is uhh... steep. 10-2 Oklahoma State is playing Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. Soon that'll be us.
