Silas was hired to coach a contender; instead, this. These teens will be looking for 2nd contracts while the developmental coach is likely looking for work. However, there are a finite # of HC jobs in the NBA. They’ll have a taker.

John ‘Luke’ Lucas? In some ways I believe he and Jim Brown share some DNA.

At this point I'd take Sengun's father.

At least then we'd know the team's best player will get adequate minutes.

I wouldn't mind having Walton as our coach...not at all.

I'd much prefer a definitive move like that than...Lucas...then whatever.

All that said, as strange as it might sound, I'm still a little dubious about Silas being gone.

 

Luke = Lukas and a difference of day’n’night.

This squad still competes and I credit Silas for that. Silas who was brought in to coach Harden et al but got this. Silas who plays, I have to assume, whom the FO tells him to.

So, out SS? Not for me just based on what I know, or think I do.

That is highly unlikely. I'm sure they involve in player signing matters but actually direct who to give minutes? No.

I imagine they will definitely give Luke Walton a call and take his temperature on what he thinks of the Rockets.

I would say that any coach that comes in would have it easier in some ways because the performance will be compared to the previous coach Silas who's record has been abysmal.

 

The Rockets FO will start interviewing volunteers from Clutchfans. A poll will decide which one is to be selected as our next head coach.

 

Luke Walton needs to stay far away from the Rox and John ‘Luke’ Lucas.

You are decidedly in error if you think Silas, or 2/3 or more, of his peers aren’t given their playing time marching orders.
