From one of the best teams all-time less than 4 years ago to the one of the worst. I do think that perhaps Green and KPJ should swap positions.
Not only that, people are really saying it's fine and using Kobe and Durant as examples to compare with Green not mentioning Kobe didn't even start his first 2 years and both had a significantly better efficiency and defense than Green.
I am thinking one has to go, not that they are Vince and Mac light or what not. This is the rare example of adding two players and the result is not 2 but still 1. Unless one of them sacrifices his game to complement the other, which I am not seeing it with 19 and 20 year olds.
They're spectacularly undisciplined but they're athletic, energetic and attacking--if they can find even a modicum of discipline, they could be competitive many nights and thus not very close to the worst of all-time. Of course, if Silas is just banging trash can lids together and yelling "Fight!" in practice, then that aggression and energy isn't going to amount to much in actual games.
I don't think they are redundant or incompatible - I just don't see how one can assess that after less than 20 games anyway. I do think they are being forced to play out of their comfort zone and that's a bit part of why they are struggling. Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing. These aren't vets after all, they are really young guys - and making them do what they aren't comfortable at is probably a good thing for them to grow. That said, Green looks more like a pg and KP3 like a sg.
It is not an assessment. (A summary at best) Of course that can change, but the goal should be to be entertaining and lose tons of games. IMHO Stone and Co. have failed more than Silas at that.
He is putting out a product that has not been entertaining, all I am saying. Horrendous at times. Most of us can agree that is getting harder and harder to win a championship, 29 teams fail to do so every year and you have Covid. Every piece to the puzzle has to be tailored, scrutinized to the very detail. Having developed 2 Allstars (dream scenario) is still pieces away.
The Rockets are not worried if KP3 fails. They are not even worried if Green doesn't pan out...because they will continue to collect assets and draft picks until things DO work out. They aren't in any rush right now, in case anyone hasn't noticed.
I am a fan for sure but I am also a consumer. I would speak out on things that irk me. Even if it is just temporary.
Well at least the Rockets had a lead in the forth quarter. Now have 7 games at home. If they lose all them they will go down as worst team in NBA history. I think they might win a couple.
Look at the facts: 1. They are sitting the best player on the team 2. The owner has shown zero displeasure 3. The GM has shown zero displeasure They really don't care about winning right now.
Mang, I know you are doing your best. I support your ideas actually. 1. Wall is not the best player, he once was I give you that. Statistically Wood is the best player on the team although he has been a poor bball IQ guy at many times during this season. But let us not fight over this, I acknowledge that Walll is being No 1 or No 2. 2. In his mailbag, Feigen said the owner was in on the plan but he did not specifically say that Ferntits showed 0 displeasure. In fact, Feigen went on to say that is very common for owners to lose their temper and regret their decisions. They probably buttered him up. You do not know what he has been feeling. You could feel discomfort and still reluctantly be in on it. 3. Useless to talk about the GM, that dude is called Stone for a reason, he shows ZERO emotion no matter what. He is stone cold. 4. I do not have to do it because I think you know. I post the odds below regardless. The worst record does not automatically own the best odds. YOU can still win several games and the odds are similar. If they did not care about winning, the team would not fight till the 4th Quarter against NY and choke. Why trying? http://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds
