Only team that lost a WS on that list threw it for mob money.

I don’t feel like that Giants loss in 02 gets enough attention for being one of the most devastating losses ever. Just brutal.

    Game 6
Garcia + Odorizzi to get you through 4 or 5
    Yimi Garcia
    Javier
    Stanek
    Pressly

    Game 7
    Urquidy (hopefully 5)
Maton (bridge to the back end)
    Stanek
    Graveman
Pressly (can get the last 6 outs)

Where's Raley?????!!!!!! I'm sure Baker will use him at some point. Would avoid him to start the inning but perhaps to end an inning so hopefully his stat line is 0.1 innings pitched, 0 hits.

Raley and Taylor will combine for an inning pitched in each game.

Today is still an elimination game for us. Anyone who can pitch on the Astros needs to be ready. Full rest, “short” rest, no rest, back from vacation, put your big boy pants on and let’s get it done. Then hopefully have the chance to do it again tomorrow.

You guys that want to pitch Javier tonight are in for a rude awakening.. Dusty burned him unnecessarily in game 2. Then brought him back in game 4 when his effectiveness was compromised. Now, you want to have him to pitch here. C'mon folks. Odorizzi should be starting game 6.. He's rested and starting to pitch to form. Instead of waiting for Garcia on full rest, where you have him for game 7, DB is at it again. All that said, as long as we don't give up the crooked #, I have faith in our lineup, and the bullpen to get the job done. This is ours. Let's go Astros!

I expect Odorrizi will pitch tonight as Garcia is unlikely to go deep in the game.

I would think saving Garcia for tomorrow instead of Urquidy would make sense, but I’m sure the Astros staff knows how their guys are feeling better than we do.

I have to think Greinke will throw a few innings at some point. He was pretty damn solid in his previous outing.

Another beautiful day in Houston, roof should certainly be open.

Chance of showers tomorrow so roof will probably be closed when we hoist the trophy.

Baker indicated yesterday that he considers Maton and Javier fully rested. I think Graveman, Urquidy, and Greinke will be the only pitchers not considered fully available tonight. So in order, that leaves L Garcia, Odorizzi, Javier, Y Garcia, Maton, Stanek, Pressly, Raley, Taylor, and Valdez. 10 pitchers to get 27 outs.

Speaking of steals...why not force D'Arnaud to actually make a throw? He's been horrid on the attempts the Astros have made. First few guys that get to 1B should run. Force them to think about shifting too much to where they can't defend us taking an extra base and constantly being in scoring position. Play a little old school NL ball.

Dude, you're preaching to the choir. Dude is what, 2 for 43? 2 for 45 throwing out base runners? Makes absolutely no sense to not run on him 24/7 to force the issue. Would throw off the pitcher too. I wish Dusty sometimes read this message board lol.

I don't. Some pretty terrible ideas thrown around here.
