Just stop. He had these same issues in the regular season this year and in past seasons. If he had consistent command, like last year, he’s an ace. Since he doesn’t, he’s a middle of the rotation starter.
Good point with the WNBA. The WNBA is still an ongoing and longstanding professional product. The Houston Comets are the only team to win four championships in a row. I wish they were still around. The Houston Dynamo won back to back MLS Cups in '06 and '07 beating the New England team twice. Houston has had dibs in major pro soccer. Heck, the Houston Dash won the ladies' professional championship in 2020. The Houston Oilers still have their inaugural AFL Championships from '60 and '61. The AFL records and accomplishments are still honored by the NFL. It's only trendy and front-running to count "Super Bowls" and "big sports" when professional sports across the board are what they are. The Green Bay Packers still have way more historical NFL championships than the Cowboys and the Patriots. Professional sports across the board and Houston has had its fair share of champions.
Even in the iffy starts against CWS and game 1 vs BOS, he wasn't throwing meatballs down the plate. Spare me the "sticky stuff" comments, the man simply invented a new way for him to fail this WS.
Honestly, there are (4) major sports in the U.S. and the WNBA and MLS (growing, but much slower than their fans believe) are simply not among them
Great that this is the game where the bats wake up. Sadly, this is the game where the overworked pitching staff finally buckled and broke.
