Your list is outdated. Kevin Knox scored 31 at 19 years, 155 days. or you just chose to exclude him to prove your point, who knows?
Here's the thing with guys like Mobley. If he's not scoring, he's doing everything else that matters too. His defensive awareness is amazing. His offensive game will also come. Wood Sengun and Mobley would be amazing right now.
Why? If it is this active it probably means Green is constantly having bad games. Probably means this thread is going to go all season, into the next and probably into the next...
Wanted Green. Still want Green. Still think Mobley will be an excellent player and hopes he has a great career
Honestly I've seen enough. The 30 point game doesn't even count to me because he was hot, I want him to just have a great all around game. Not just hitting 3s that were obviously luck. I need to know of a superstar to date that came to the league and just couldn't buy a basket. Plz brighten my day... This reminds me more of how Austin rivers came into the league, or jimmer....sigh...
Because you guys are so quick to overreact when it's only been 5 games... we are here to see growth, he is still learning the game...
Which kinda makes you think if people love him THAT much, maybe they should go support the team he plays for?
were sengun to get his minutes and touches he would be having 20pts, 6 assists, 8 rebounds easy, every game.
Which is odd since talking heads and fanbois hyped him as the most NBA ready prospect. In 4 of 5 games he looks like someone that should be in the G league. I'm not giving up on him because I knew better than the ridiculous narrative being pushed before the draft... but I think we need to realize that he's probably not going to ever be a franchise caliber player.
Who do people think is the better prospect, Anthony Edwards or Jalen Green? Keep in mind that Edwards averaged 15 ppg on 37% shooting until the ASB last year
Anthony Edwards came into the league with a NBA body. Jalen needs to add weight and strength to get there. He’ll get better over this season but I suspect he won’t be really good until his 2nd or 3rd season because he’s just physically not there yet.
Green's peak is Michael Jordan, Mobley's peak is Chris Bosh with defense, so sure if they both reach their peak, Green would be much more valuable. But the probability of Green becoming MJ is close to 0 now, and at this point, even becoming the next Kobe is looking unlikely. I hope I am wrong, time will tell.
Even then, Edwards is quite the chucker. I bet Green wishes he could chuck over 22 shots per game like Edwards, maybe then he'd be averaging 20 points per game and certain fans would think that was a good thing.
Anthony Edwards is the better prospect right now. Jalen Green is one of of maybe 2-3 guards in world that are more athletic than Edwards though. Jalen Green likely is the most explosive jumper in the NBA and has excellent dexterity and very quick in a straight line to the basket. Edwards is elite at all those as well but not quite as good - but he has a better body than Green. If Jalen really works on his body the way Harden or Wade did, he can be really nasty. Right now Green isn’t a good NBA player because he can’t take and avoids contact.
