I think we just saw the best from the braves and the worst from the stros. I expect a solid W tomorrow. capeesh?
Urquidy better have a shorter leash than Framber because Braves hit hard against him. If Quidy does the repeat, better take him out earlier than Valdez. If Toothpick doesn't show urgency on his pitchers, game 3 could be a wipeout if we lose game 2.
yeah, they’re basically down to one really good starter, a decent starter, and a bunch of good but not really elite relievers.
Our 3 wins were blowouts, their first 3 were blowouts. We just kept hitting into lineout after lineout in game 7, watching that game around dozens of Rangers and Yankee fans might be my worst sports experience.
There’s just no way to know what we’ll get from Urquidy tomorrow. He might pitch 5-6 solid innings or he might not make it out of the second inning. I think Fried will be tough and we might scrape out a couple of runs at most. We have to get to their pen tomorrow to have a decent shot.
I'm not going to lie and have no sympathy for Braves fans. Morton's injury makes this the worst Pyrrhic victory I've seen since the 2017-18 WCF game 5.
It’s been beyond time for that. He can’t drive the ball consistently and he is taking his bad at bats into the field with him. In the ALCS and this game, he is making too many errant throws.
Ive said this before, Ill say it again. I dont want to be the gawdam braves. We have to win another chip.
If the Astros’ offense is right, they can hit anyone, anywhere, no matter how good they are throwing. They weren’t that offense tonight.
I expect nothing. Their 3 LHRP are pretty ****ing elite, so is Jackson when he's on, no way they can bank on them every game though. Tomorrow will be interesting if we can get to Fried early. Same goes for them and Urquidy though.
This one is on me guys, I forgot to offer Jobu a cigar and rum to take fear from the Astros bats. I'll head to Spec's in the morning and fix this.
I wish he would go the other way for now until they adjust. Then he can start bringing in the hands and turn on an inside FB like the old days.
Hate to think it but given how historically awful Altuve/Correa, and Bregman have looked, is it possible our hitting coach is tipping off his father info of our hitters?
Let's see: Urquidy: Mexico (no rum, tequila) Altuve: Venezuela (local rum may be an option) Maldonado & Correa: Puerto Rico (local rum definitely an option) Yuli & Yordan: Cuba (local rum and cigars, very hard to find) Dominican would be an appropriate substitute. You've got a lot drinking and sacrificing to do. Pick up a live rooster while you're at it.
The Braves streak is active. Hopefully the Astros end their home streak tomorrow and then continue the Braves streak this weekend.
