My word this is going to be a long season. These kids need to get their reps in and take their lumps. You mental midgets are going to be kicking and screaming all the way I'm sure. We have 19-year-olds going up against professional basketball players. They'll be fine. When people say, "That team will be good in a few years." This is what they mean ...this is the few years.
We’re not in a win now situation. We would be sacrificing player development with Wall. We need a close-knit Core group… just like what the warriors did. We need to get back to a team game. It has been proven iso ball can get you to the playoffs but championship ball requieres a team game. John Wall is too old for the team and won’t take a back seat to anyone. This is for the best. Yes we’re gonna suck for a couple of years. It will be worth it when we get that cup tho.
We are playing for the number 1 pick this year. Everyone that actually thought otherwise is naïve. Best case scenario is that we get a top pick and one of the our young players becomes an all-star when Wall's and Gordon's contract is up and we can attract a player like Harden to come to Houston before we have to give one of our young players a max contract.
I thought Wall was a terrible vet presence last year when he did play. he couldn't really make the right passes either most of the time. And down the stretch we just watch him brick mid ranges. Like what the hell, you were suppose to guide these younger players
It is only preseason but I quite honestly may have significantly underestimated his impact on this team. We shouldn’t have been on the same court with Miami and Toronto. Hope I’m wrong. At minimum, we need someone who will replace him who can contribute to this team.

I'm glad that preseason has shown people the unrealistic expectations they had of such a young team. I would say the first half of the season is going to be especially gruesome since the team is growing. If you are a weak mind individual that can't handle losing, you should likely stay away from watching the first half. I expect the second half to be a lot better, with plenty of losing still in there, but winning a few more games after chemistry has been establish. If we win 25 games this season, that would be pretty damn good.
I mean, I come in to check this thread and what do I see? The biggest outrage manufacturers from the Jalen Green thread sh&ting on Wall and his outfit choices. SMH. Pathetic Scumbags!
