That inning was ridiculous. If you are going to blame Dusty for anything, I think this is definitely fair. He didn’t turn a bunch of weak contact into hits, miss multiple strike calls, or botch that interference call. He could have at least gotten thrown out sticking up for the team.
Because he’s better and been there before. Would have had no problem taking Odorizzi over Yimi… but I guess they figured they’d only need one extended relief guy (Javier), one partial relief guy (Greinke), and they liked Yimi in minor leverage situations.
