Put $100 down on the Lightning. We have a plan to replace our three ICE rigs with EVs over the next 3-5 years, with the timing dependent on how much money I make doing consulting and teaching gigs.

I put a deposit down for Cybertruck when it was announced however I am keeping a very close eye on Nissan Ariya.

Based on what I have seen so far, Ariya looks very compelling.

I might end up getting one.

Nice options here but I'm still going to wait for Toyota Ev.

It looks very promising. Good interior, features, interior space, and range (300mi). Nissan Leaf, their smaller All electric car has been around a while and is very good, so they are not new to the All electric tech.

Also, unlike Tesla, this one will be eligible for $7500 Federal Tax credit. That's $7500 Federal + $2500 Massachusetts State rebate, 10k right off the price.

But the main issue vs Tesla is still the charging network.

I will be considering Tesla Cybertruck vs Model Y vs Nissan Ariya for an All electric car.

Cybertruck might be out of running simply because of its size. I dont particularly need or want to be hauling that thing everywhere and then trying to find parking in Boston.

Lightning for me, which would also be our travel rig. Wife wants a two door Mustang, but may settle for the Mach-E. Daughter is the most conservative (little c)/conscientious of us and will probably get something in the Leaf/Mini range.

Can I hangout in Boston for a few weeks, buy the Ariya there, and get the discount? I wish! Texas should encourage EV’s that way, but Hell is likely to freeze over first.

I should add that I have no idea if I’d actually want one at this point, but I like the state discount.

Yeah, I'm curious about this, too. Can I have friends buy it in another state and then I buy it back from them?

Probably won’t happen in the US for a while.
They use a non standard connector.

Europe forced TSLA to use the standard CCS plug.

also Tesla people ain’t happy. They don’t want to share their chargers with a Nissan Leaf or Chevy bolt. Lol

This is kind of what I was wondering about. When will there be a consistent charging station type network worldwide.

What it would take is a car with less than 40k miles on it that costs less than 13k.

Doug Field was fired from Tesla after he almost destroyed the company with the failed model 3 production ramp that ended up taking 9 months longer than expected and putting the company on the brink of bankruptcy. He was also the 4th head of apple’s car project and the 4th to depart, leaving project Titan no closer to getting off the ground. This is the epitome of sloppy seconds.

Took you long enough to show up. Tesla may fire you if this tardiness keeps up. :D
