Give the kid at least a training camp and year with RGV before judging his future. He could develop into a sharp shooter off the bench. The 9-10 guy off the bench can win a game from time to time.

Dude, just stop. The reigning ACC scoring leader isn’t going to play half as many minutes the next year. Yeah, Duke is bringing in another great talent in Banchero, but he’s grown a ton and will most likely play the 5. Hurt wasn’t going to lose minutes, if anything he would have just as likely gone nuts shooting with better talent around him. The ONLY way Hurt loses minutes is if Banchero plays power forward exclusively, which is absolutely not happening. Regardless, again, this is pointless and boring. Agree to disagree.

Yeah you’re completely out of it and have no idea how things work at the college level. Especially at a one and done school like duke. I know the majority of folks around here don’t actually follow it but the ones that act like they know just make it that much worse when the conversations start

Thanks for educating all of us with your insight and wisdom. It’s neither insightful nor wise, but at least it’s not educational.

Banchero likely told Duke that he would commit if he gets starter minutes.

Hurt likely told Duke that he was going pro.

    Banchero then commits to Duke.

If Hurt changes his mind, either he enters the Transfer Portal or Duke releases Banchero of his commitment.

There is no way that Duke wants two 5 star recruits splitting time in one position.

Was very underwhelmed by Hurt in the summer league. Not really a fan of the archetype of the "shoot only big" that isn't a good defender and can't do anything but shoot. He didn't shoot well, so what are you left with? I still have PTSD from all of the bad Ryan Anderson games. No thanks.

have you seen duke, kentucky...they take all the talent theycan and in college , especially with a zone, they have a lot of flexiblity since these guys are big strong by all college elite standards. i do think its likely hurt would get less touches/shine, and at the same time college is less and less appealng and more people are seeing the ncaa grift. he has an elite skill, no one NO one thought afew years ago Duncan robinson would stick let alone get a 90 millioncontract. of course ttheres ryan anderson. while he was terrible for us, it ain't easy being a 19-10 player in this league.

just his size and shot, be it he turns out like ryan, duncan, kyle singler ,or whoever is worth a swing on asuch a young raw team.

    Flyin' Ryin'! LOL!
I remember that play oh so well!
    His career highlight.

Also remember back in the day when at his peak Bull (Matt Bullard) would routinely give a pump fake out at the 3-point line to get his man in the air and then slowly rumble in (took about 5 seconds) for the dunk and he would usually get there uncontested because no one wanted to rotate off of Dream which would have been much worse.

Not to derail this thread, but Banchero is going to be one interesting player. From what I've read, he's grown another 1-2" and put on another 10-15 lbs. which would put him at 6'10"-6'11" and 245-250 lbs. That's one big-ass point forward. lol.

Maybe. Or maybe it's Cade level of blowup again lol.

Its great that Cade played great during SL but the fact that he turned the same height as Green after being touted 6'8 pg is still a big ass joke.

see how its easy to fool people?

    public health experts?!
who are these people?( and stop pretending like they all have the same opinion on every little detail when in fact they differ in their opinions much and even themselves often change their own very firm stances)

are they sent down by sweet jesus in the heavens?
Who pays their bills? who gets to approve their licenses and working permits?

good luck with their expertly advice! lolololololol
we dont need freakin scout to tell us his height

    6.8. Point Forward?
    yeah right!

and pay attention the scam is in the internet age when there is unimaginable quantity of video and other proof...its like we are living in stone age and Cade was living across the ocean lololololol

and still if detroit didnt take him oh boy...the outrage of the fans and the media would be HILARIOUS!

Here is a Duke scrimmage where Banchero is the 4 and Mark Williams is the 5.

Banchero has the quickness and shot to play the 3 and the strength and footwork to play the 4 ... in the NBA ... today. Banchero would look mighty fine sporting a Rockets jersey next year.

If we shouldn't trust those experts, should we trust your opinions about them? Who are you?
