In these two and a half games, Jalen Green showed us everything we needed to see. I think the training staff is making the right decision by holding him out of these meaningless games. I think we got the best player in this year's draft class--and I can't wait to see more of him in October. Meanwhile I'll still be tuning in to see how Sengun, Garuba, and Christopher kick everyone's ass. Also, KJ Martin is a walking highlight!
Makes sense, don't want our future star getting hurt playing in the summer league, while it's cool to see the rookies out there, there's just too much of a risk.
Hope this is not serious, or lingers......got only a month or so until training camp.......need him to rest until fully healthy. DD
First game he showed he can drive-in and score at will with layups and mid-range and last 2 games he showed he is solid even with catch-n-shoot at 3pt line. Seen enough for this summer league. With a decent passing PG, Green's game will excel even further. Even though some hate on Wall, he seems to be the best passer for the team currently. If he only takes on the role as a facilitator than a scorer, which is a big if, Rockets young core of Green/Sengun/Martin can really grow to be something special.
And you are pro? Everyone here is casual they watch for fun. I dont care going up 2 am to watch Christopher either loose ball or foce 30 shots mAmBa MeNtAliTy
Good decision, he’s shown more than enough to prove that he was the right choice. Gotta protect him. This guy is our future and arguably the most valuable young “centerpiece” in all of Houston Sports, given his age and potential. Side Note: Just very strange how it seems like a lot of those big media types on ESPN, FS1, etc are increasing enamored by Green. The same people that spent years trashing Houston (and more specifically Harden) are now claiming Green as a basketball savant, exciting new player with the right attitude. It took years for Harden to get some of the respect he deserved with those people, now they are almost going out of their way to praise Green and claim him as their rising star. Part of it was definitely Harden’s aloofness towards the media that was easily polarizing while Green seems to just have that “IT-factor” that seems to just draw people to his corner. The media attention can easily turn the other way - but it’s refreshing to have a young star player on our team that seemingly very likable.
Team saw enough... He’s done with Summer Leagues now. Time to give the other players some chances to show what they can do with no Green on the floor.
The coaching staff needs to be taken to task! Will Stone step up to the plate regarding this incident?
