    i constantly have several of these "processes" running at the same time. what the hell is rundll32 and how do i get so many of them to stop running?

    First thing to do is run spyware removers such as Adaware and Spybot.

    Second thing to do is to run an updated (as in the last 24 hours) antivirus software.

    See if that removes any of them. RUNDLL32.exe is a legitimate program that is often run by rogue software.

    It's a tool for Windows to run a dll(Dynamic Link Library). It's not unusual for it to appear on the process list, because alots of executable needs it to run, but I would run the antivirus programs just incase. Some virus and trojans were programmed in dll format, so it could be harder to be detected.
