    6-8 with a 7-3 wingspan.

For reference, Bam Adebayo is 6-9 with a 7-1 wingspan.

In love with this guy's defensive instincts. Playing real minutes in Spain with grown-ass men, and getting great coaching. I have seen this dude projected around our picks in the late first. What a fantastic swoop this would be as a sort of Capela replacement to develop going forward. Some "Mr. Mean" to throw in there with C-Wood. Sign me up.

I like Garuba. I think he goes higher than the most recent mocks.

Glad someone made this thread. He’s probably my favorite target for our later picks but I think hel be gone by then. Imagine a green, garuba, Thor trio. That’s what I’m hoping for.

He (Garuba) and Murphy are the two guys I want at 23/24. I think those two would fit with either Green or Mobley.

I like Garuba a lot - every player is unique but I'd put him on a scale somewhere between Draymond Green (but with much less of an offensive game) and the Manimal, Kenneth Faried. Could be a Dennis Rodman type of player. Would have to slot in next to a big would could score... like Evan Mobley + Christian Wood.

    I'm "TeamMr.Mean"

My version of Unicorn is any mobile PF that can slide to Center in "Small-Ball"
    lineups.

They don't have to be 7'0" tall.

Hes going to be a foul machine early on. He's so agressive and kind of a bull in a china shop.

I can imagine a very nice career for Mr Garuba... and I can also imagine a total flame-out.

I'll be watching to see how it turns out. But I wouldn't expect regular minutes early on until he dials in his agression/fouling a little bit.

Hes got that thing like Manimal and Montrezl thing where he just looks like hes too short when hes on the court with big guys. The wingspan compensates and it doesnt seem to be an issue, but the first impression watching film is always that he is to short. Maybe that helps bump his stock down a little.

Go watch early Olajuwon before he developed his offense. Looks like a UofH Akeem Abdul Olajuwon.

Could we package Ego and something to move up and draft Usman middle of the 1st round?

A Cade or Jalen or Mobley AND Usman draft would be pretty stellar.

Maybe, I think they're both rotation players for 8-10 years so I think they're great value outside of the lottery.

Garuba and KMJ on the court together could be fun to watch. As @Ottomaton mentioned, if he can keep from fouling out is a good question. The guy looks a bit like a throwback to the 1980's, which I like, but this isn't the '80's. His height doesn't look like an issue to me. The length of those arms is something else.

Seems like the perfect type of pick in the late first round.

NBADraft.net's own mock draft has Garuba going at 22 to the Lakers, just before our pick at 23 (naturally!). Their "consensus draft," which I have to think (haven't checked) is the average of several mock drafts from reasonably decent sources, has Garuba going at 15 to Washington.

In other words, looks like you could be right, @Verbal Christ. If we want him, and I'd like to get him, we'd have to move up. That would obviously cost us something. Just what is a good question.

Draftnet is trash these days, draft express is where it was at but ESPN bought them out, a damn shame because that website was a masterpiece that made it super easy to look at all the players stats, scout reports, measurements etc
