    It's early, long season, anything can happen, yadda yadda yadda but the Stros have a chance these first 10 games to put the A's in a sizable hole.

    Gotta say, the way this one started out. I was concerned. Lance couldn't locate squat, was getting visibly frustrated and running up a pitch count.

    But then Lance settled down. The offense started scoring. And the relief crew was immaculate. Tack on 4 in the 9th, and what began shaky turned into a 9-1 rout.

    Great win and great start to the season!

    A's were probably thinking thank God no Bregman today and Diaz comes in and goes 3 for 5. And probably were thinking thank God they took out Brantley and McCormick comes in and goes 1 for 3. Nice that even the backups were able to contribute.
