Caserio seems like a hard worker, looking for value everywhere he can find it, which would go great with a QB with a contract like Watson’s (and Tunsil). Too bad Watson might be a f’ng idiot.

They are over the cap if we count all the recorded deals. They must have some major cuts planned in the next few days

Cap applies to just the top 51 until season starts though right?
They will have to make cuts, but there’s time.

Lived in CO and watched this kid play--he's tough as nails and has skills to boot. Best signing so far and something positive with all of this DW news.

I agree with this, Lindsay is real deal ,has crazy shiftiness and burst. ..Nick Caserio is absolutely maximizing what he should be doing with what he has to work with , gotta give credit

I don’t mind the Finley trade. He hasn’t shown much, but he still has potential and could be a decent backup. He’s extremely smart if nothing else. I could see him as a backup in the league for a long time, maybe an emergency starter, but for what they gave up there’s not much risk.

Why give up something when you could give up nothing?

Texans waited a few weeks to long on a Watson deal.

This may end up being the understatement of Texans' history.

Hopefully all this is hogwash but if it's true then man texans would have looked like geniuses had they traded him before this broke out.
Btw wasn't easterby brought in to find out about these things? Should be fired.

I'm not really sure why a team needs a character coach or culture coach or whatever he was supposed to be. Leadership sets the culture, the environment. If you need someone to specialize in character or culture you've picked the wrong leaders in the first place--imho.

I wonder if the NFL would have intervened and rescinded a hypothetical Watson trade after these allegations came out.

Some other team could have jumped in and traded a little something for him before he was released.

Trading for him also locks him up at his current salary. If he was cut he might have required some more money to sign here.
