If that is all accurate those are great points and it could potentially be a downgrade. I presume Stone wanted that to be in 2023 because of certain reasons based on probability and timeline on his goals. I know one thing is I have a lot of teams to root against these next several years lol
Thanks Tuck for all you did for the fans, Rockets and Houston community. He left it all out on the court for us over the years, he should get a tribute when he comes back.
I can understand if you don't like the players we got back, but moving up in the draft is certainly better than just buying out Tucker (let alone moving the pick to unprotected in 2023).
Yes we need to find out who John the franchise wall wants and go get him!! Gotta keep the franchise happy!! Lol just wanted you to cringe.
Tucker feels disrespected https://theathletic.com/2463343/?so...ksWKbsB0t-a_9uyd3z5zmpVJAAWPq6LA-Q8AVtXrUyD0s The team eventually tabled an offer earlier this season: a two-year deal worth $17.2 million, with $10 million guaranteed, per a source with knowledge of the negotiations. Tucker’s side countered with two years, $24 million (ESPN was first to report the initial offer and the counter). Houston declined, and Tucker tabled any further discussions. He felt disrespected: Houston’s offer was for similar money as what he’d signed for when he initially joined the team on a four-year, $31.8-million deal in 2017.
P.J. Tucker Expected To Be Traded With James Harden The Houston Rockets had a tense team meeting following a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 12th when it was decided James Harden would stay away from the team until a trade was consummated. Sources tell Kelly Iko and Sam Amick that P.J. Tucker came away from the meeting with the belief he would be included in any Harden trade, whether it was to the Brooklyn Nets or Philadelphia 76ers. Tucker was ultimately not included and spent two more months with the Rockets before he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. Tucker also became open to a buyout in late February, which would have given him the freedom to choose his destination. The Rockets, however, had no interest in negotiating a buyout as they sought a trade.
The Rockets were not just going to give away PJ Tucker. They sent him to a contender and got some value back. PJ can sign with Brooklyn in the off-season or he can find some team to give him the bag like Ariza did.
Yeah...good luck getting $12m a year from mil in the offseason lmao. Bet on yourself indeed, because at that price no one else will!
