About time they adjust the spread a bit. We're 1-13 against the spread during the 14 game losing streak. Only cover was against Philly as 8 point dogs when we lost by 5.
The line now is 18. I can not remember a line this high for any Rockets game. They will be lucky to finish within 30 points.
Is Wall playing? I’m thinking of taking Utah, but if Wall is out KPJ may go off. Especially if Utah builds about a 30 pt lead going into the 4th and empties their bench.
I could see the rockets potentially covering due to the Jazz starters sitting out most of the second half. I took Jazz -9.5 for the first half which I think is a better bet.
Trading away the vets and letting young guys play makes me believe the team will win too many games if trying to tank. Part of me believes the Rockets won those 6 straight after Harden left was not just because of Wood, we had a bunch of guys in the rotation that no one had scouted and had no data on them. Going with a bunch of young guys would probably result in some short term success. The vets are needed to tank to this level.
We were 11-10 before our 14(!) game losing streak. But being .500 is still mediocre as heck. You either want to be really bad or really good. Getting the 14th pick is the worst outcome.

For sure I would agree with that. Just trying to gauge where we would be with a healthy roster. They had a better winning percentage minus harden before wood injury and that was without any practice together. Combine that with kpj and Martin now contributing I think this team is currently 6-8 seed in the west, first round exit. Meaning tank, and trade off all old players and rebuild.
Another win for our tank game. I hope KPJr. shows out and drops 30pt trip dub on Donovan Mitchell tho.
