Rip screech. Like many child actors, the industry used and threw you out without much fortune. You never had the choice of a normal life.

Hope you found peace.

 

I hear he really wanted to see the Star wars park in Disney world. I hope he got a chance to.

Only three weeks between diagnosis and death. As someone dealing with a family member that's been fighting Stage 4 for about a year, this hits home. Sad that it came to end so abruptly for him, and sad that he did not seem very happy since his SBTB run was over.

 

Small cell carcinoma is one of the worst, most aggressive lung cancers. It can come on so fast, that by the time they find it, you're already near the end of your life. My Grandfather passed away from this when I was very young. My Mom told me that one month he started feeling bad, the next month he came to Houston to get diagnosed, and the next month he was gone.

Its almost always diagnosed in smokers...but not completely. Apparently Diamond was NOT a smoker.

 

I didnt think he had much time left. he initially checked into the hospital very sick. usually by this time the person is gone.

Really sad stuff. Hate to see anyone get taken by cancer. Just brutal.

 

he was the nerd on the show, but in a post-saved by the bell world he was the coolest one of that cast.

Possibly. There are other conditions that lend itself to developing Small Cell lung cancer, like MGUS or Multiple Myeloma. They can be hidden for years and then pop up when you're diagnosed with a different cancer.

 

Dude went from bad diagnosis to dead crazy fast.

 

He had stage 4 cancer.

 

I know.

 

I didn't pay attention to him at all but listening to how his life went after he left the show was really sad.
