how big are youth basketball jerseys?

so im considering getting a youth nike, its cheaper and they don't sell a medium for the adult sizes. If I fit into a medium adult jersey, and its a little baggy on me, should i get a large or extra large in the youth size? anyone have experience buying them? any noticable differences?

X-Large youth jersey are hard to find, and you have to be pretty damn small to fit into it. I think it's about a size of a large girl's t-shirt.

XL Youth T-shirts are slightly smaller than adult smalls.

An XL jersey will probably fit you, but it won't fit like basketball jerseys are supposed to. If you usually wear a medium, it will probably wear pretty tight.

thanks, since this will probably spend more time on the wall, i guess ill go for the adult size.
