I could do it. It's Watson's fault that BOB was the head coach as long as he was. If he had spoken up earlier, BOB would have been fired earlier, thus saving the franchise. That said, it's a bit late for him to chime in now.
When I saw the thread I was like "WTF is Deshaun?" but then I opened the thread and saw it's foozeball. That explains it. I thought for a second there was a Rocket so obscure that I should definitely change my avatar.
Mostly a joke, but it's also accurate. He stood by BOB way past the time he should have been trying to get away. A lot of the excuse to keep him around was that the QB kept vouching for him.
It's astonishing the Texans can be this incompetent. They should be apologizing to Deshaun and JJ for the BOB fiasco. They should be including them in all decisions regarding gm, coach, and personnel in the offseason. The new regime needs to know who to keep and who to let go. Those 2 guys are going to know better than anyone. You need buy in from your leaders... that's not just sports but business too. I have a feeling Bob McNair was a business man and his son was a professional college student living off of daddy...
Exactly. Do people not realize it would be a 21million dollar cap hit to trade Watson?? Cal is paying THREE GMs now and he’s about to be on the hook for anyone not expiring for ALL of the assistants, FO personnel and the entire scouting Dept that will be let go now that Caserio is in town.
Media is often one sided and it forces you into an opinion that you can’t decide for yourselves. We need to put an act out where every news company must say both sides of a story when reporting.
Factual but I was off a little bit. It's actually 21.6 million, however they would end up saving 6 million in cap space but hardly worth making that move.
That cap hit would be for one year, correct? if so, if the package was Trevor Lawrence plus a 2nd this year and at least 1more frp. I do it, just because with our current cap situation and roster I don't think we can compete and we might as well re-build to be able to compete in 3 or 4 years. Remember if we suck this upcoming year we would have our own pick and Jacksonville's next year. We have to fix too many problems with virtually no cap room. We have to re-build defensive line, running back, receiver, linebacker, secondary. Bob left us gutted with few alternatives to get better over the next 2-3 years at best.
I'm not sure any O-line can give a guy 24 seconds to make a play. Also, he'd stay down for 5 minutes every time he's tackled.
Can thank the awesome previous GM for that! QQ....would anybody here have preferred Jerry Jones as the GM? If so....only team out there that might have. Which is saying something.
One thing you can give jerry Credit for isn’t afraid to spend. He gave Dak everything he wanted the offense was stacked. Defense on the other end was not
