well if any of you guys remember i was trying to get a job at this place called zonetrading to be a stock trader. well i got hired back in march and i have been trading for the last 5 weeks. overall, i have been doing amazing by their standards since they don't expect you to know anything about trading. i was the 2nd trader there to make money their 1st month, which was actually only 2 weeks since i started in the middle of the month. anyhow...things have been going great and i was up about $7600 this month until the last two days where i have lost over $4000 of that profit. after expenses and commission that $7600 would have been about a $3000 paycheck...now its down to a little over a $1000 check. we only get paid once a month too. anyhow...i love this job and its perfect for someone like me but man its like getting thrown on the ground and getting kicked in the stomach when you are not in sync with the market. it can really wear on your confidence in yourself too if you feel like you have no clue what is going on. losing money is fine...but it just sucks when you feel like you don't know a damn thing. so back to the point of the thread...what do you guys do after a long day at work? maybe i'll just go drink beer, play golden tee and watch the astros.
Have sex with my girlfriend Wath the Rockets. And go back have more sex, amount will be depending on whether the Rockets win or lose.
I've tried to stay busy lately; I usually go back up to campus (if I ever left - it's only five minutes away anyway) and practice the piano, then work out, catch up with everyone on my cell phone, etc. There may be lectures or performances to go to, and I may have formal music rehearsals as well. Of course, since I'm an academic and not "on the clock", work is always a part of my life. Kind of like being a college student, except not being graded for it. I like that. So I don't watch TV much. I watch it in the exercise room, or when grading papers, and that's plenty.
what a terrible week. oh the many beers i will drink to forget it. it's nice losing nearly $5000 in a week.
