Is this part of the John Wick universe? I saw those fancy gold coins I thought they used as assassins currency, but could have just been fancy gold coins.

Seeing this on Saturday, really been looking forward to it since the first trailer came out.....

 

Trailer did nothing for me. But think he will be rootable. Just feels like I've been in this story before, but with stronger performances.

 

Apparently Odenkirk is also a producer of the movie. Based on the positive buzz; sounds like it has sequel potential.

 

Sounds interesting but I have time buying Bob Odenkirk in a role that looks like it was written for Liam Neeson.

 

Was that Corky Ramano at the end? Chris Catan or whatever.

 

Everybodys trying to get to Steven Seagulls level nowadays.

I really hope Kim Wexler is in it to fend off scary cartel guys when he cant.

 

I think that's kind of the point...hence the movie title.

 

Liam Nielsen is like 70 years old. I'd put money on Bob Odenkirk in that fight.

 

Apparently:

Neeson is 6'4" 68 yrs (Ireland)
Odenkirk is 5'9" 58 yrs (USA)

So one has a reach advantage, the other; youth (and maybe speed). Odenkirk used to be a stand up comedian, so he can tell a joke to distract Liam and then go for a KO.

 

Saw this last weekend...enjoyed the hell out of it. Easily Christopher Lloyd's best role of all time and was worth it just for his bits. I don't know if it will do well enough to get sequels like the John Wick movies, but I hope it does. I love me some Odenkirk.

 

finally got around to seeing this. The bus and house scenes alone make it an automatic winner
