Tornado Burger in Stafford is the best. Try the spicy. Also like Burger Fresh in Montgomery.

Always gotta mention Lankford Grocery in a burger thread. The Grim burger is to die for.

I almost always just go with the basic burger and in that contest it’s Miller’s cafe hands down. I’m pretty sure it’s just a frozen patty but the bun is prepared well and it all comes together perfectly.

I love hubcap the blt burger add jalapeños. I’m going to try the WB hatch green chili today. I know I’ll probably get **** for this but sonic actually makes pretty good burgers for the price. They’re season well.

Update: The hatch chili burger is the best burger they’ve made since the chophouse.

    Hot take -

A truly great burger requires a significant amount of vegetable matter on the form of lettuce/tomato/onion/etc to offset the greasy salty umami meat. Its all about balance between the components.

Whataburger single with cheese blows away than all their "speciality" patty melt/Monterey melt, etc. beef and bread food p*rn burgers.

The best burger I ever had was at Jack Straw's. All the burgers were made of ground ribeye.

The guy that owned it would get poor reviews because he would call fat women "fat c**ts" and say they had to leave, and he really wasn't a huge fan of most his customers, he regularly told people to leave....... but his burgers were magic.

    Best burger I've ever had-

Samuel Horne's Tavern, Folsom, CA (about 10 minutes from my house)

    Johnny Cash Burger

The quality of the ground beef and bacon is incredible, as is the bbq sauce.

And the perfect pairing (when available)-

Bacon (then burger cooked in a bit of bacon grease)
    Jalapeno Jack cheese
    Sauteed mushrooms and onions
    Spicy ketchup

    Jalapeno chips on the side.

    Dude...that was a good burger.

Had this once. First half was great, but the second half got way too soggy. And animal style fries are disgusting.

Not a hot take but fax imo.

I don’t understand how people enjoy things like baconator, ultimate cheeseburgers, quarter pounders etc. Not just cause they’re fast food burgers but even upscale joints that do burgers with no veggies just doesn’t taste good to me.

If you haven't had a burger from Niko Niko's, you should try one. They're pretty good.

Pappy's Cafe also makes a good burger, as well as Spring Branch Burger Shack.
