Hayward has been really good last season after a shacky start (which was understandable for multiple reason). Like i said, if he would enter free agency he would be the best free agent available after Davis.

Most injury prone and unlucky dude in recent years.

    There is literally nobody else.

He was actually good again last year. I dont think he'll get top dollar on market. But he's not like washed up Chandler Parsons either

Following up on a Tuesday report which indicated that the Hawks are eyeing Hayward, Jared Weiss of The Athletic cites a person familiar with the forward’s thinking who says Hayward wants to be a core part of a winning team and may not be interested in a move to Atlanta. Weiss wonders if the report linking Hayward to the Hawks may have been leaked to increase the 30-year-old’s leverage as he weighs his player option decision.

Meanwhile, in his latest Hoop Collective podcast, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst theorized that the Cavaliers, who hold the No. 5 pick, could be a landing spot for Hayward. Cleveland has interest in Hayward, according to Windhorst, who speculated that the Cavs and Celtics could be open to a deal that involves Andre Drummond and a draft-pick swap. Of course, if Hayward is prioritizing playing for a contender, he may try to angle to avoid a move to Cleveland.

if i was hayward i woudn't opt out. I dont think he gets paid that much going forward ... maybe im wrong

Older now , coming off injuries , hasn't looked spectacular in boston.

Is he really a 30 million dollar player going forward ?

Will be interesting what his next contract will look like. Knicks are suppose to be the likely suitor.

Hayward probably thought signing a new long term deal now would be better than what he could get after another year as the 4th option on the Celtics.

A team out there will give him the max. Hayward was often injured, yes, but he also couldn't really "show out" because of Kemba and Jayson. I think with a change of scenery, Hayward will be the player he was in Utah, again.

If Khris Middleton can get a contract that averages 35M-36M over 5 years, Hayward definitely can as well.

Hmm maybe boston and Indy can work out a sign and trade for oladipo.

Oladipo, who's coming off an injury, last year if his contract and looking for a change of scenery.

Hayward looking to get paid, to have a bigger role would fit great with the pacers. Maybe sign something like 4yr 100 million.

Hayward would qualify for a max contract starting at $45+ million, so no, he's not getting "max". He is more likely to get a 4-year contract at $25 million per.

And it would be best to lock that in while he's healthy. Poor (not in the $$$ sense of "poor", "poor" as in "pobrecito") guy suffered one of the most gruesome on-court injuries. Lucky he didn't suffer permanent nerve damage (I think).

Gordon Hayward 'Fully Focused' On Ending Up With Pacers

Gordon Hayward is "fully focused" on joining the Indiana Pacers on a sign-and-trade, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Hayward's desire has grown to return to Indiana over the last few weeks.

Hayward could also conceivably re-sign with the Boston Celtics, while the Charlotte Hornets will also be interested in signing him.
