I was looking for the CNBC video of tilman today and then stumbled upon this. watched 16 mins in and i then realize his true intentions. Tilman is always looking to make more money. He goes to Zaras for buy $19 suits. He is all about penny pinching and finding the best deals and getting the most cash he can save possible. 16:45 mins in. I know why Tilman is so cheap. His long term goal is to use rockets to become richer His netwroth was $5B at the time he got the rockets. Im assuming he is trying to get to the $10B range and then flip his money for his big time goal which is to then buy the Texans. it makes too much sense.
I hate people that gather riches just so they have more and others have less. Even more i hate people that live for it like him. If u dont care bout things and buy zaras thats ok and i understand that but when you credit ****ing sports team for 2bilions to treat it like that zara tshirt and do it only for increasing net worth and pump ego... thats like peak douchebagness he only cares for his ego thats why he was getting angry when people called him cheap. Whole internet called him cheap and he was so angry with it in that interview. Thats the same reason he wont sell so people wont label him cheap
Tilman is a douchebag. We gave him a chance to prove his competence and it's been nothing but disappointment. Hope he sells after Harden leaves.
Tilman buys the Rockets, Texans, Astros (and heads UH Athletics) ... CF faints. "I'm done. I'm out on Houston sports."
Tillman Fertitta in a interview said that He Buys Out Small Businesses that are almost at a low. I feel bad for Owners being upset and sad selling a business you worked hard to keep and maintain. But the American Economy is Bankrupting People. Tillman is like a Shark looking for its Prey.
I havent loved the Rockets team since 1994 1995 and 2009 Carl Landry, Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry, Luis Scola, Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady(He Played Injured) Dikembe Mutombo, Harris, Steve Novak Goran Dragic after 2009
21 minutes in he talks about ripping people's asses up. I'm learning how to be a billionaire. SHUT UP, LISTEN AND RIP UP BUTTS.
if he just wanted to raise his net worth, he should have just invested in Tesla Stock this year @Os Trigonum
Gosh, I remember when the Garm was a place to actually talk Rockets basketball and find out real news. This place sucks.
op doesn't know what he's talking about, tillmen is a true rox fan and philanthropist. what's next, you're gonna tell me he wants his kids to run the organization?
He spurned his own family, when they wanted him to use his families products, TexJoy. Really, he thought he could get a better price Texas Coffee Company began in Beaumont, Texas in 1921 when Charles J. Fertitta, Sr. recognized the demand for a good quality coffee with a distinctive aroma and flavor. Mr. Fertitta began with an investment of $1800 and a Ford Model-T truck, a few pounds of coffee and a one room “shotgun” style shack in back of the Crescent Market on Magnolia Street in downtown Beaumont. In 1926, Mr. Fertitta recapitalized the company by forming a partnership with R. C. Maceo and Joseph S. Serio. They moved Texas Coffee Company to a larger, more modernized facility that was better equipped to handle the growing customer base. With this new partnership, Mr. Maceo was plant manager while Mr. Fertitta and Mr. Serio delivered their product in the Beaumont and Pt. Arthur territories. In 1968, Texas Coffee Company became the first coffee company in the United States to begin packaging coffee in vacuum-packed foil bags. The site on Martin Luther King Parkway (previously named Port Arthur Road) is still the home of Texas Coffee Company. Its corporate offices are housed there, as well as the manufacturing facilities. Manufacturing equipment has been updated but a certain nostalgia remains in the old hardwood floors and exposed steel beam supports, not to mention the exotic aroma of fresh roasted coffee beans. In 1999, key management positions were taken over by third-generation family members. The current President is Joseph F. Fertitta; Donald P. Fertitta is Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer; and Steve Lyle is the Regional sales Supervisor. The pride and rich heritage of tradition continues on in the 21st Century with a fresh attitude and renewed commitment to success. To all our customers, we remain dedicated to this proud heritage of continuing to offer quality products and excellent service. He is a cheap owner. This happened years ago when he was building a restaurant empire. Said no to his own cousins!
Come on, man: everyone worships money. It's the only thing that can make owning the Rockets equivalent to owning a whole lot of slot machines.
