    FWIW He did okay with the Spurs........ although I agree with what Pat Riley said, at the end of the day preparation is HUGE.

    That's because of all the coaches we're interviewing, Lucas is the one who strongly believes in giving guys 2nd chances.

    And 3rd chances. And 4ths, 5ths, 6ths, etc. That's the nature of being in recovery.

    If the players on the team won't respond to quality coaching, then they should be traded because we aren't winning a title without quality coaching.

    I respect JL big time, but have a feeling that the powers that be are just going through the motions with him, giving an obligatory interview. Now, he would be good in an ancillary capacity. Perhaps that might have some traction. Kinda doubt it though.

    I just went to Saltgrass for lunch, they had a table next to hostess stand with applications you can fill out for assistant coaching positions, says it comes with full benefits, 20% off meals at all his restaurants/casinos, 2 weeks of vacation to start, and pays $7.50/hr., plus tips, in case anybody is interested.......

    One unique aspect to this potential hire is that Lucas would have the chance to redeem himself. His drug problem definitely hurt the Rockets back in the 80's, but if he were to lead the Rockets to a title now, he would not only be redeemed, but would be a local hero.

    Not saying this alone makes him my favorite, but I like him more than many others I have seen that are under consideration.
