Naw. Watson played as well as you can play with a weak o line, no run game, no weapons, and poor play calling. this isn’t the NBA where 1 guy can drag trash to the playoffs. only 1 person to blame now.
Browns, jags, dolphins, raiders, bengals...all former jokes are now closer to being contenders than the Texans. In fact if I was gm and I had the choice between the jets job and the Texans job I’d go to NY in a heartbeat. They can draft Lawrence, trade Darnold for a 3rd rounder and have 70 million in cap space.
No chance. He would punch O’Brien square in his buttchin before training camp is over. Plus the Texans only go for “good guys”.

What does Watson getting paid have to do with any prior decision BoB has made to "improve" the team? Had plenty of time and opportunity to make this team a contender without needing to worry about a Watson extension. Failed to do so.
About 3 min left and down 8 with the ball. Thought this was the time for this offense to finally do something right. They lost. 0 and 4 and they can't even tank as they don't have 1st and 2nd round picks. Ouch and a double, need to change something. Can't change the QB, 2nd highest paid but not under control. Coach and Gm not good. This city will never have a winner. Not this team and not with this coach. But the good news is.... who cares. This city... even the recent champs were caught cheating and they admitted. Sure other teams cheated too but that is not an acceptable excuse.
They do have a consistent run game. They consistently run the same play every first down. It's the HB cutback plays from Madden.
