Most surprised at Patrick ewing looking unskilled. The play of Patrick ewing was laughable and it was surprising that he didn't foul out because he couldn't stay with olajuwon. Any fool could see ewing was out-matched.
I was in my living room with my pops in Zip code 77008 born and raised before it became what it is now..I was 10 and it is when the obsession began.. Astros, Rockets repeat... Now I have the Blazers and Mariners as my local team...love me some dame dolla tho..
'94 - SLO California, celebrating my son's birth at the same time as the Rox first chip '95 - same place but celebrating my son's first birthday.
94-in Barcelona for summer vacation. Amazingly I got to watch the game the next day without being spoiled. 95-in my parents bedroom here in Houston on a hammock. I was 12 and 13 years old at the time.
I was 11 & 12 years old at a house party with friends and family. My uncle was David Stern's limo driver for both championships. He'd show up late after the games with game programs and NBA apparel/memorabilia. Got a David Stern autograph and an NBA lapel pin. The autograph has since been lost years ago.
Magic I remember real well. At some high school all night thing running up and down the halls yelling sweep! Sweep! With an actual janitorial sized broom in tow.
Patrick ewing used to have slobber and massive spit dripping out of his mouth trying to guard hakeem olujuwon in 1994.
True story.... I won two tickets to the seventh game against the knicks at a XXX video store on the SW freeway. It was a drawing the afternoon of the game, you had to be present to win. I was the second name drawn. The first name drawn wasn't there. I took my wife to the game but never told her were I won the tickets.
I was there behind the bench. I told my gf to flash jordan so he can miss his free throws. Les gave me championship ring.
Moved away in '87 and over the years have lived in LA, NYC, Cleveland and Seattle and never followed any of the teams there except to catch games when the Rockets were in town.
I went to one of the Knick games and respectfully asked Spike Lee to sign my program. Once he signed it I said "rockets in 7" and his body guards stood up in their Mason Jerseys as the whole section began to heckle them. I was in htown for both.
