Absolutely legendary band that's been around forever. Techno, dance, electronica, 80's new wave, synth-pop, early rap/hip-hop, etc. all have tons to thank these guys. Even songs from the 80's like New Order's Blue Monday were sampling these guys -- that's how long they've been around. Stuff as ancient as Afrikaa Bambaataa and Egyptian Lover in the early days of rap all sampled these guys. Jay-Z sampled these guys. They've been around for 50 years and this guy was one of its founders.

Crazy thing. - OMD was largely influenced by Kraftwerk and while touring Germany in the early 80's, they discovered that Kraftwerk was in the audience. They invited them backstage and the members of Kraftwerk told them that they (OMD) were a huge influence on Kraftwerks then-current music. Funny how they both looked towards each other.

I love this version of Radioactivity.

I think that this album, other than the late 70's, this was my stupid introduction to Kraftwerk.

Don't forget the Simpsons..."we must get back to Stuttgart in time to see Kraftwerk..."
