Dream steals the ball, The best defensive center of all time. And this was not a championship Rockets team, I mean Dream was passing the ball to Winston Garland for pete's sake! @dc rock
the 92-93 rockets were a championship team but stern and his refs made sure that didn't happen. winston garland did a terrific job as the back up point guard that year and at one point Hou finished the season from 1/10/93 to 4/25/93 an astounding 41-11 or really 42-10 since the were scammed that last game.
It's not about how many championships they won It's the myth they were an invincible team We were their worst matchup and the regular season records show that And nobody can shut Dream down while Jordan was held below his scoring average Supersonics? The Bulls should have beaten the Magic in 95 so we can blow them out of the water with 95 Olajuwon You know
Goosebumps every time I see that move. I hear what you're saying but its the Chris Paul hamstring argument, woulda, coulda, shoulda
no it's not. because we never lost to them in the playoffs we never played them. but we only played them in the regular season and Rockets fans 'at that time' knew this team was easy to beat. They just came to see MJ dunk. but it's very hard to explain this to fans nowadays because the narrative is swayed to that those teams were invincible. For example, Jordan and Dream were drafted in the same year but played in different conferences. Which one led their team to the finals first?
Jordan's bulls lost to the celtics and pistons those teams got old , larry bird's back broke, Magic got HIV, Bad Boys got old Nobody talks about those narratives The Rockets beat the championship Bulls teams in the early 90s with a NON CHAMPIONSHIP Rockets team littered with Sleepy Floyds, Buck Johnsons, Winston Garlands, there was no sam cassell or mario elie or clyde drexler when we played them with Robert Horry, we whooped their ass The Rockets fans are not jealous of their titles, it's the disrespect of our titles that's the issue. What about the Pistons and Lakers titles? why is there no disrespect for them? they were there when Jordan played The Bulls titles were legit, and so were ours. I don't even think you qualify as a Rockets fan if you don't think Hakeem would destroy the Bulls, it's all on youtube. He did.
We got the regular season games ,and I'm pretty happy about watching them. I really wanted the 95 bulls team to play the rockets, but they lost to orlando. they would have been pummeled by the Rockets. 95 Hakeem Olajuwon Playoff Edition might be the greatest playoff player of all time. unstoppable on both sides of the court.
@Clutch I really think the newbs don't understand the point of the video I don't think the newb fans will or ever will understand that the Rockets and the Rockets fans thought this matchup was easy because it was in the early 90s Then again, we can't explain to them that Tupac is better than Lil Uzi Vert
I'm talking about the sonics not the bulls. The sonics beat the rockets in 93 and swept the rockets in 96. Then we finally beat the sonics in 97 then couldn't get past the j*zz and in 98. Its hard to make the argument that even though the rockets beat the bulls in the regular season, because they struggled against opponents who would eventually fall to the bulls in the finals, that the rockets would've bestest Jordan and the bulls in the finals. Thank God for Mutombo and the old best of five first round format
Jordan would have seen a drexler matchup as a mismatch. Jordan would have tried to get olujuwon and drexler in foul trouble. Olajuwon played with four or five fouls consistently in the Knicks series. Jordan would have gotta them fouls stacked on olajuwon or drexler including Mario Ellie too.
