Harden has to develop a stronger mentality and then it has to show it on the court. He just plays like I got my money and it's whatever. The step back threes are equivalent to pulling a gun out in a fight and shooting instead of physically fighting but when you pull the trigger you realize their are no bullets in your gun. That is who Harden is right now.
We know sometimes James isn't going to have it that happens thats basketball. The problem is when he doesn't have it or he is just struggling its not a crime to make a small adjustment to your game that night like him moving without the ball. Teams are loading up to specific zones on the basketball court. If James moves the defense will open the court and lanes for other guys including easier baskets for himself.
Guys. Don't overreact. Its only 1 game and no reason to trade the guy especially when his stock is low. Harden is a key component of our team He just needs to realize that we have a good squad with a lot of capable scorers If his shot is off, just find other ways to help the team (rebounding, passing, D) He doesn't need to score 30 points for us to win. Often times, much better if he had an efficient 25 but plays tough D.
I think all the extra work he has to do in guarding bigs and on defense is taking away his energy. DD
I can't wait for the usual excuses! "It's just one game", "Harden is tired", "it's just a bad night", etc, etc, etc ... The sad reality says that we lost again against a pathetic team.
Agreed... It couldn't be more obvious that he needs a on extended rest..I hate his guts but I actually feel for him this season... It's unnecessary to run this dude in the ground.. He's not built for that!

He hasn’t looked ready to play in a long time. Idk man. **** is weird. Dantoni finally ran him to the ground. He probably got the word that he was playing the whole game and mentally checked out.
2-11 3p shooting and 10 TOs is like spotting the other team 9 transition possessions and 10 bonus possessions. Lets say teams score about .75 points per transition possession and .60 overall... that's about 13 points you're spotting them. Ouch.
