Agree with you there. I also recall reading about Austinites furious that the city was not pushing for the 35-290/71 interchange once it was clear that the Airport was moving to Bergstrom AFB. Construction did not start till a couple/few years after the move. Then again, I also recall Houston traffic in the 70's.
take a drive down stratford dr. in zilker park. thats where you should move. i just found that street today....pretty cool little discovery.
